For Fishtrap’s sixth annual community-wide reading series, we are pleased to announce The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain.

FILM SERIES

The popular Film Series will run throughout January and February beginning Monday, January 10 with 7 pm screenings of Mark Twain Tonight!, the classic with Hal Holbrook, at Mutiny Brewing in Joseph, Lear's in Enterprise, and Wallowa City Hall in Wallowa. Dates, times and locations for all these films arelisted in the calendar available at the Kick-Off, The Bookloft in Enterprise, and local libraries. Note that not all movies will be shown on Mondays this year, and locations will vary.

GAME NIGHT

Tom Sawyer Family Game Night, to be held on three nights in three locations: January 13 in the Joseph School Multipurpose Room, January 27 at the Wallowa Senior Center, and February 3 at the Odd Fellows Hall. Old-fashioned fun will include shooting marbles, jumping tiddlywink frogs, competing in hoop races, joining the cupcake walk, and more.

COOKING CLASSES

Join Lynne Sampson Curry for Aunt Polly's Cooking Classes--cullinary fun focusing on Twain-inspired cuisine on January 23 and 30, by registration only.

FINALE: Sunday, Feb. 13

We wrap up the Big Read with a Twain-inspired potluck at the Hurricane Creek Grange on Sunday, February 13, with a dramatic performance by Mark Twain impersonator, Kurt Sutton.
